Our Vision

Pure Symmetry was created with a vision to build a space which offers wholistic solutions to dysfunction and discomfort within the client. Combining a clinical Myotherapy foundation with the functional exercises of Pilates enables the provision of effective solutions for musculoskeletal dysfunction or the 'physical' ailments of the client. While Breathwork and energetic modalities address the 'mind' and 'spirit' components of the client. It is our belief that our full health potential is achieved when all aspects of us are balanced and aligned.

With our roots in a small rural community, we value community engagement and strive to offer an inclusive service. We feel great satisfaction in sharing knowledge and seeing this create positive change in the lives of our clients.

Our Founder

Our founder, Toni Boland has practiced in the natural medicine industry for over 17 years, she holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Musculoskeletal Therapy (now recognised interchangeably with Myotherapy), Diploma of Remedial Massage and is also a certified Reformer and Matwork Pilates instructor. Toni is also trained as a Breathwork Facilitator and holds a level 2 Reiki practitioner qualification.

The unique combination of her professions as a Musculoskeletal Therapist/Myotherapist and qualified Pilates instructor allow her to deliver Reformer and Matwork classes with a great depth of anatomical and biomechanical knowledge which translates to more personalised advice and in class corrections. Toni is passionate about educating her clients on the importance of correct muscle recruitment during exercise and she strives to facilitate this for her clients in her classes. Toni works hard to program classes that are suitable for beginners and experts alike and encourages beginners to give Pilates a try.

Toni believes that maintaining strength in our deep stabilising muscles is perhaps the most effective way to ensure you are not limited in lifestyle by a body that is failing to support you. When performed correctly and with great attention to technique, Pilates is capable of taking you from stiff and sore to ready to soar.

Toni also has a keen personal interest in breathwork, mindfulness and the important connection between mind and body. Toni has spent the majority of her life living in rural communities and while there is nowhere else she would rather be, she is acutely aware of the difficulties that rural isolation can create. Making good quality health advice and services available to people regardless of their location has always been important to Toni.
